Many of the people that we have worked with over the years are those that have fallen through the cracks. They are often able to access emergency resources but the source of their problem often lies in their inner pain and struggles. Financial lack is often a barrier to emotional health services. Others have said that they simply don't know where to look. There is a a stigma in some communities about receiving help with emotional and mental health needs.
So what?
The inability to cope with inner hurts, unresolved issues, and life challenges affects all aspects of a individual's life. What starts as an emotional issue can turn into relationship, financial problems and much more. For others it disrupts their inability to keep or obtain suitable work. As a result they are left dependent on social services. And we have often seen personal problems affect all the members of a household, leading to continual generational issues. Children are exposed to adult issues that they are unable to cope with.
At the Glory Impact Center we offer a nurturing community environment were people fell safe to open up and address the issues and challenges that are holding them back. We provide services that are free of charge and others at a low/affordable cost.
